SLADE, Frederick Samuel - Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2014, Frederick Samuel Slade of Carbonear; formerly of Western Bay, age 72 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Minnie; sister: Donna; brother: William. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ada; one daughter: Deanne Slade, Carbonear; one son: Terry (Shirley) and daughter: Kaitlyn, Bristol’s Hope; two brothers: Dennis (Brenda) and Kevin (Diane), both of Carbonear; one sister: Judy (Will) Blundon, Chapel Arm; sister-in-law: Sandra Slade, Western Bay; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. At Fred’s request, cremation to follow. A private family inurnment to be held at the United Cemetery, Western Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Intensive Care Unit at the Carbonear General Hospital c/o TCP Health Foundation, 86 Highroad South, Carbonear, NL A1Y 1A4 or to donate online visit www.tcphealthfoundation.ca.
